Tareq Salahi has officially filed for divorce after his wife, Michaele, left him for Journey guitarist Neal Schon on Tuesday.
Tareq Salahi has stopped believing in his marriage to Michaele Salahi.
In divorce papers filed Friday and published by TMZ, Salahi cites abandonment and "an adulterous relationship with one Neal Schoun," as the cause of the split, adding, "I also understand that his rock band, Journey, paid for her travel, accommodations and other expenses." This, despite his lawyer's comment Tuesday that it was premature to say if the couple would split.
After finding out his wife had run off on tour with Journey rocker Neal Schon, Tareq definitely won't be welcoming her back with "Open Arms" - he's filed for divorce.
Salahi states in the divorce filing that " continually exposes our friends and acquaintances to her adulterous relationship and has flaunted the same throughout the community, the nation and indeed the world, and thus caused me to suffer great harm, humiliation and embarrassment." Indeed, a source reports that Michaele had bragged to friends about her "wild sex" with Schon.
Tareq claims in his court filing, obtained by Access , that Michaele has been involved in some "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" with Neal, the guitarist for Journey.
The couple first landed in the spotlight in 2009 after crashing a White House state dinner. Michaele was a former cast member on "Real Housewives of D.C." before the show was canceled after one season.
A rep for Journey, however, told Access Hollywood, "No photo was ever sent to Tareq Salahi by anyone in Journey."
The divorce papers indicate that a prenuptial agreement exists, but does not provide details of the terms.
He accuses the rocker of emailing him a picture of his swimsuit area (sans swimsuit) and claims Journey has been footing the bill for Michaele to join Schon on tour.
